Contains two Selma fids in 4mm & 5.5mm sizes for ropes sizes upto 6mm. These can be used for making Brummel locking eye splices, Soft Shackles, Tapers and Continous Loops. 

The Marlow No.4 Whipping Twine & Hand Made Sailmakers Needles are used for finishing your creation and locking things in place. 

Each kit comes with lengths of 4mm Marlow D12 or Goittifredi Maffioli Compact Braid 12 strand Dyneema for practicing your new skills.

  • No.4 Twine is constructed of 3 Strand Waxed Polyester in 0.8mm diameter and comes on 41m spools. Twine packaging materials are 100% recyclable.

  • W. Smith & Son have been manufacturing needles in England since 1835. Manufactured from high carbon cast steel, the highly polished reduced edge design and triangular point easily pierce heavy fabric and rope whilst the elongated eye makes threading easier.

  • No. 103 Needles come in an envelope containing 5 assorted sizes 13 to 19 swg.
