60mm Ball Bearing Yacht Block Range
Selden's 60mm Ball bearing range is one of the world's best selling block ranges for very good reason, chosen by yacht manufacturers as OEM equipment, Selden's renowned quality at affordable prices is a winning combination.
From single blocks to doubles with twin cams the 60mm BBB (Ball Bearing Block) range has a solution for most applications on board. Supplied with 5mm Shackle and rotation lock, the blocks can be used in a static position or allow free rotation.
Available in Standard (Derlin) and Heavy Duty (Stainless Steel) versions the range has a block for all dynamic uses on board.
Ball bearing blocks offer significantly lower friction than plain bearing blocks, which makes them ideal for applications where frequent trimming is required. If subject to high static loads for prolonged periods the bearing surfaces can flatten, degrading the performance and increasing friction. For applications that require high static loads over a prolonged period, try the Plain Bearing Block (BBB) range or for extreme loads with high performance the Roller Bearing Block (RBB) range.
As a guide the 60mm range would typically be found on yachts from 30ft to 40ft using 8mm-10mm ropes
For smaller diameter see Seldens 50mm Plain Bearing Range (50mm range is not available in Ball Bearing configuration)
